English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be revealed live on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
